  MassMirror.com About XCSS 2.0
What Is XCSS 2.0?
XCSS 2.0 is a pseudo version of css 2.0 that we made up for use on MassMirror.com. XCSS stands for Cross Browser Cascading Style Sheet. This term is not a technical or actual term used in web site development. It is more of a made up version of css to support opacity filters. Regular css 2.0 will not validate with -mozilla-filter-opacity or using Internet Explorers filter opacity. XCSS 2.0 simply allows you to add cross-browser filters to your css 2.0 style sheets.
Message To W3C
XCSS 2.0 is a made up term. We at MassMirror would like to see alpha filters added to future versions of valid css.
Alpha Filters And Opacity?
These styles can be used on any element in a web page (images, buttons, text, and more). They allow an object to have a set opacity percentage. This means developers can create advanced layouts and animations using these style filters.
How Does MassMirror Use XCSS 2.0?
We use xcss 2.0 to skin our browse file upload button. A skinned upload file button and input field is one of the most rare things seen on a web site. We would like to change that!
